Aquata dive and immersion suits

The quality of your immersionsuit-resquesuit can sometimes be life-saving. This becomes even more apparent when one knows that a leap into cold water without protective garment can be fatal. Even if it survives the cold shock comes a loss of consciousness within minutes, finally lead to drowning. Therefore, we have set a target to provide the maximum amount of safety and quality for people at sea-either with survival suits for the passengers and crew of the vessel in distress or with special garments for SAR teams.

Wolfgang Dressler

aquata was founded in 1977 by Wolfgang Dressler in Berlin, Germany. He has a PhD in business administration and worked for 5 years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Berlin.  The definition of enterprise included product suitable for diving, surfing equipment, immersion suits, as well as other neoprene products.

The production of its first survival suit was 1983. Delivery to the German and
East European customers started in 1984 with two models that have been approved by the German certifying Department SEE BG. When the Scandinavian market for survival suits began to  grow also became our model V20 certified by DNV.

1993 developed aquata a new model which was made of a thicker material and therefore especially suitable for use in polar regions-V40. Approval was granted by the German SEE BG after the completion of tough tests at a Russian naval base in cooperation with University Lomonossov and the Arctic institute in St. Petersburg.

SOLAS

SOLAS requirements will change in 2004, we developed the model V20 OP specifically customers who put their emphasis on getting the best ratio between cost and performance. OP V20 is based on model V20 but delivered without a pillow for his head. Therefore, it must be worn with an additional life jacket. It is also not a harness for helicopter lift.  In addition to survival suits we also manufacture rescue suits for different purposes, often tailored to meet the specific requirements of our customers (Special costumes).

As one of the largest manufacturers of immersion suits-more than 120 000 pieces to date-we reached a level of experience that is not easy to find on the market. Our costumes are manufactured in our own plant in Thailand which is managed according to European standards. These standards apply in particular to our certified quality system.

All our efforts are being made to provide the best possible protection for the passengers and crew at sea. Make your decision today and choose certified safety aquata.
